Surviving a tragic death is a profoundly painful and stressful experience. Survivors of tragic events may need support during this difficult time. People may need to talk about the event or loss in a safe environment while also needing to deal with immediate and practical issues.
To assist individuals in this process, the following services are available:
- Immediate support Support and follow-up for individuals and groups affected by the event (family members, peer teams, work places, etc.)
- Liaison with schools as requested
Trauma debriefing (staff, work place and first responders) - Assistance with practical planning (i.e. shelter, funeral home, etc.)
