Surviving a tragic death is a profoundly painful and stressful experience. Survivors of tragic events may need support during this difficult time. People may need to talk about the event or loss in a safe environment while also needing to deal with immediate and practical issues.

To assist individuals in this process, the following services are available:
  • Immediate support Support and follow-up for individuals and groups affected by the event (family members, peer teams, work places, etc.)
  • Liaison with schools as requested
    Trauma debriefing (staff, work place and first responders)
  • Assistance with practical planning (i.e. shelter, funeral home, etc.)

    The Traumatic Events Response Team (TERT) is made available through the cooperation of the following agencies:
  • West Central Crisis Centre
  • RCMP detachments
  • Kindersley Ministerial Association
  • Heartland Health Region ( Hospitals, Health Care Centres, Mental Health,-Community Counseling)
  • Sunwest School Division
  • Saskatchewan Department of Social Services
  • Danny Fisher Centre
  • Prairie West Ambulance Services
  • Kindersley Funeral Home
  • Friends for Life-Canadian Mental Health Association
